Allow the Feeling

Dr. Christianne Northrup recently spoke about a medical case involving Tibetan monks who were diagnosed with diabetes. The doctors were puzzled because their diet was a healthy diet. I don’t remember the exact details about how they figured it out, but it turns out that they were trained to focus on love and light and prayer and peace. They weren’t told that it is necessary to feel the emotions (fear, hatred, anger, etc….) first, and then move/transcend the feeling into prayer, love, etc….

We are humans. We have emotions. Suppressed emotions harm us. I’m not recommending wallowing in hurtful emotions. I’m not recommending acting out negative emotions. I’m suggesting that we allow ourselves to feel and honor those emotions before transmuting them into love and light.
