Smoothies vs. Juices

March 3, 2013

Smoothies vs. Juices

In my opinion, both fresh fruits and vegetable juices AND smoothies are wonderful ways to nourish yourself. There are some incredible healing protocols that feature fresh fruits & vegetable juices, like the Gerson Therapy. There’s even a really good documentary called the Gerson Miracle that has been available on Netflix. If you or someone you love is facing critical health issues, I urge you to read the book or watch the documentary.

Smoothies are wonderful because they allow you to incorporate the whole fruit/vegetable into your drink. It’s an easy way to add powerful ingredients like leafy greens to your diet. Many of us fail to consume enough fruits and vegetables during the day. (I recommend 8-9 servings of fruits/veggies per day). How many servings of fruits and veggies do YOU eat daily on a regular basis?
